Feb 6, '22

After a week of reunion lunches and dinners, festive snacks, and late night gatherings, your body is probably in need for a detox.

Therefore, we have compiled a yoga video from Grace Sim ( Metta Studio)  as well as some detoxification tips from our nutritionist, Anis to help you get a fresh start on a healthy lifestyle.

Let's watch it and start practicing.

Detoxify by Following Below Simple Body Cleansing Technique:

Tip #1: Consume More Fibre from Whole Foods.

Now it's time to load up on fibre-rich foods from vegetables, fruits and grains– as those dietary fibre moves through your digestive system, it helps sweep things along your digestive tract, helping you to feel less bloated. Oats, dragon fruits, beets, cabbage, broccoli, and seaweed are excellent detoxifying foods.

Tip #2: Drink More Water

Water makes up 70% of the body and is thus essential for normal functioning. Take 7-8 glasses of water a day to aid kidney functioning and continuous release of toxins from the body.

Tip #3: Take In “Good Bacteria”

When the gut is in good shape, our systems run efficiently, but when it’s not, we may experience an upset stomach, constipation or might be at risk for weight gain too. Probiotics or “good bacteria” are live microorganisms which are effective in keeping our guts healthy. Kefir, yogurt, sauerkraut & tempeh are natural fermented foods that are rich in probiotics.

Tip #4: Reduce Your Intake of Sugar and Processed Foods

High consumption of sugary and highly processed foods has been linked to obesity and other chronic diseases. Replace Junk foods with healthier choices, such as nuts and fruits can help your body stay healthy and sexy.

Yes, it’s not always easy to get back on track, but it is possible if you make a commitment to do so.
